KELLY, A. ELAINE The passing of A. Elaine (Bryenton) Kelly of Fredericton, occurred peacefully at her home on Friday, November 29, 2002. She was 85. Born in Amherst, NS, on December 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Edison and Myrtle (Smith) Bryenton. Baptist by faith, she was a member of Brunswick Street Baptist Church. Elaine graduated as an R.N. from Victoria Public Hospital in 1939 and continued her nursing career until 1954. She was co-founder of Kellys Homes and spent many years with the company. Her thoroughness and dedication to the family business laid a solid foundation for the present day company. Elaine was devoted to her family and friends and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was very talented and enjoyed many happy hours pursuing her hobbies of needlework, rug hooking and gardening. Elaine is survived by sons Wayne (Shirley) Kelly, Leigh (Kelly) Kelly and daughter Linda (Brian) Hubbard all of Fredericton; grandchildren, Terry (Tina) Kelly, Fabian Kelly, Mark and Laura Hubbard all of Fredericton and Ian Hubbard of Gander, Newfoundland; great grandchildren, Mallory and Nathan Kelly of Fredericton; brothers Albert (Diane) Bryenton, Harold Bryenton and Glenn (Ruth) Bryenton all of Ontario; a sister Gwenn Woolwine of Challis, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband L. Osmond Kelly; a young son, Brian Kelly; a brother Clyde Bryenton and his wife Henrietta; sisters-in-law Joyce (Kelly) Gilman and Elaine Bryenton also brothers-in-law Jack Woolwine and Ralph Gilman. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Saturday, November 30 from 2-4 and 79 p.m. A memorial service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Sunday, December 1, 2002 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimers Society of NB or the Bryenton Memorial Scholarship Fund would be appreciated by the family.
