GEORGE LORNE FOX

FOX, GEORGE LORNE George L. Fox of Upper Queensbury, passed away at his home on November 29, 2002. Born at Upper Queensbury on April 27, 1923, he was a son of the late Charles and Mina (Cunnigham) Fox. George was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his life on the farm. He was always so happy to spend time in his fields and woods, watching the horses, the deer and all the wildlife. The farm dogs were always special companions for George, especially his last two - "Buttons" and "Buttons". He enjoyed spending time at home with his family to the very last days of his life. He was also employed for a number of years with the Department of Transportation. He is survived by his wife, Jean N. (Parent) Fox; three daughters, Nancy Cronkhite (David), Nackawic, Audrey Cernivz (Barry), Upper Queensbury and Martha McGarrigle (Terry) Grafton; three sons, Melvin Fox (Sherry), Andrew Fox both of Upper Queensbury and Earle Cole (Sandra), Fredericton; nine grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Cole, Michael Cronkhite, Chad, Josh and Meghan Cernivz, Amanda Fox, Abbie McGarrigle and Brett Fox; two great grandchildren, Janine Cronkhite and Chase Cernivz; several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by an infant son, David, a grandson, Geoffrey Cronkhite, three sisters, Millicent Nason and infants, Alice and Daisy Fox and three brothers, Edgar, Roy and Linwood Fox. Funeral service will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Monday, December 2, 2002 at 2 p.m. Rev. Terry Brewer officiating. Interment will be in the Nackawic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward McGuire, Edwin Dore, Kevin MacFarlane, Allen Price, Dwight MacFarlane and Dick McGuire. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of George, the family has suggested the Nackawic Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice.
