GRANT, MARGARET (PEGGY) PATRICIA The death of Margaret (Peggy) P. Grant of Fredericton, occurred at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, February, 3, 2003. Born in Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary MacDonald. After marrying her late husband, Earl Joseph Grant, the couple moved from Montreal to Fredericton where Margaret devoted her life to raising and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed by her children: Sandra Grant-Black (Rodney) of Harvey Station, Barry (Maria) of Fredericton, John of Fredericton and Margaret Grant-McGivney (Rick) of New Maryland. Margaret was blessed with having 8 grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Stephanie, Scott, Thomas, Dax, Will and Matt each of whom brought her tremendous pride and joy. She will also be missed by her two sisters, Sandra Coffin (Vancouver) and Alice McIntosh (Point Claire) and two brothers, Wilfred MacDonald (Toronto) and Charles MacDonald (Mount Stewart, PEI). She was predeceased by three brothers, Allan, Donald and John. Throughout her life, Margaret remained active in various organizations including The Catholic Women's League, Christian Women's Club, UNB Faculty Women's Club and St. Dunstan's Choir. Additionally, Margaret was an avid sports enthusiast. At different times in her life she held memberships at the Fredericton Golf Club and Capital Winter Club. She enjoyed tennis, swimming skating and cross-country skiing in Odell Park. Margaret was also very fond of gardening,writing poety, travelling and animals, especially her dog Tess. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 12:00 noon at St Dunstan's Parish in Fredericton with Monsignor Brian Sheehan as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com
