MATHESON, ROBERT N. The passing of Robert Nicholson Matheson occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 16, 2003. He was 87. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was a son of the late Freeman and Mary (Donovan) Matheson. Robert was a Home Builder. Survived by his wife Mary (Regan); his six children, Laura Simmons (Dr. Barry), Robert (Bronwyn), Marilyn Jolley (Prmod), Susan Delaney (Bud), Debbie Powers (Warren) and Stephen (Dianne); seven step-children, Raymond Soucie (Cathy), Paulette Robertson (Ian), Mitchel Soucie, Lynn Smythe (Marc), Cynthia Bacenas (Joe), Nancy Bastedo (Richard) and Tony Soucie (Jacquie); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; his first wife Marguerite; three brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, Saturday, 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held from St. Dunstan's Church on Monday, July 21, 2003 at 12:05 p.m. with Msgr. Brian Sheehan officiating. Interment to follow in the Hermitage Cemetery.
