GALLAGHER, RONALD HAROLD With deepest sympathy the family announces the peaceful passing of Ronald Harold Gallagher on the afternoon of June 4, 2005 at the age of 89. Ronald was born at Canterbury, NB, being the youngest child of Robert and Jennie (Mary Jane) Gallagher. The devoted husband of Margaret Gallagher and father of Robert (Patsy Phillips), Sheila Thorne (Elderic), Shirley Taddeo (Joseph), Sharon Scott (Berkeley), Ronald (Susan), David (Patrcia), Margaret (Penny) Grimshaw (David), Michael (Carmen) and Daniel (Lisa McLean). He was a proud grandfather of Toby Pond, Jack Gallagher, Galen Gallagher, Tara Mackenzie, Shawn Scott, Andrew Scott, Joanna Gallagher, Caitlin Gallagher, Tara Glencross, Lyndsay Gallagher, Matthew Grimshaw and Emma Grimshaw and Great Grandfather of Alisha Pond, Margaret MacKenie and Rachel MacKenzie. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jennie Gallagher; sister, Mary Gallagher and Brother, Leo. Ronald was a graduate of Provincial Normal School (Teacher College) Class of 1934 and attended the University of New Brunswick. He was a School Principal and retired from teaching in 1976 and enjoyed many years of retirement. He was a member of Mananook Lodge #38 F&AM, Remembrance Chapter #30, Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Masonry and Luxor Shriners. He was Past King Lion of MintoChipman Lion's Club, Oromocto Pioneers and Elm-Tree Square Dance Clubs. He had a passion for horses and enjoyed many years of dedication to the care and training of them. Friends will be received by the family on June 7 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Minto Funeral Home. There will be Eastern Star and Masonic Tribute Services on Tuesday, June 7 at 7:00 PM at the Minto Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 2:00 PM at Trinity United Church, Minto. Service to be conducted by Mary Thurrott and Rev. Dennis Matheson. Internment will take place in the Canterbury Cemetery, Canterbury, NB at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Fredericton Shrine Club Transportation Fund or to Trinity United Church, Minto..
