
MARY KATHLEEN (DONNELLY) BAVIS
BAVIS, MARY KATHLEEN (DONNELLY) The death of Mary Kathleen (Donnelly) Bavis, wife of the late Harry James Bavis, of Cross Creek, occurred on November 15, 2005 at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born on August 27, 1904 in Maple Grove NB, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Almeda (Donalds) Donnelly. She was a member of the Cross Creek Baptist Church. Mary is survived by eight sons, Edward "Ted" of Stanley, Lawrence "Laurie" of Fredericton, Murray (Kathy) of Cross Creek, Keith (June) of Salisbury, Reginald "Reg" of Toronto, Gerald (Katherine) of Taymouth, Kirk (Judy) of Moncton, Brian of Orangeville, ON; three daughters, Muriel Raymond (George) of Moncton, Betty Boudreau (Louis) of Nigadoo, Annette Wilson (Evert) of Moncton; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Jennie Bavis of Fredericton, Helen Malsen of Willowdale,ON, Annie Dorcas of Fredericton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by nine brothers, Benjamin, James, Charles, Arthur, Herbert, Laughlin, George, Frederick, Daniel; four sisters, Alice, Mary, Ellen and Mabel; three daughters-in-law, Jessie Bavis, Nelma Bavis, Patricia Bavis; and her grandson, Jerry Bavis. Mary is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 11 am from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Reception will follow in York Funeral Home's fireside room. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Pine Grove Nursing Foundation (Electric Chair Fund) or to the Williamsburg Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
