THOMAS G. HANSON

HANSON, THOMAS G. Thomas G. Hanson of Lower Woodstock, New Brunswick who passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. He was born at Woodstock, NB on January 3, 1957, son of the late Harold & Leota (Tompkins) Hanson. Tom was an avid sports fan and loved his favourite team, the Montreal Canadiens. He coached the Woodstock Rebels Women's Softball Team for more than thirty years. Tom was selected as Coach of the Year by Softball New Brunswick in 1990. His proudest moment was when the Rebels were inducted into the Softball New Brunswick Hall of Fame in 2006. Survived by his wife Joy (Dow) Hanson. His daughter Jullian Hanson and his son Neal Hanson. Sister Mary Hanson of Nackawic, NB and predeceased by sister Sister Shirley Hanson. Brothers David Hanson, Paul Hanson, James (Lynn) Hanson all of Northampton, NB. Joe (Florence) Hanson of Bouctouche, N.B. Several nieces and nephews. Resting at The Culberson Funeral Home 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB with Visitation on Friday, May 18, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services to be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock. Interment to follow at the Canterbury Cemetery. If so desired donations can be made to the Woodstock High School Fine Arts Program and can be made through the Culberson Funeral Home.
