KENNETH OLIVER OSTLER

OSTLER, KENNETH OLIVER (1922 - 2008) Kenneth O. Ostler, husband of Kathleen, of Moncton and formerly of The Bluff Shediac passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, May 3rd. Born in Toronto, Ontario on March 21, 1922 he was the son of the late Sydney and Mary (Murdy) Ostler. Mr. Ostler was employed as a sales representative and on the board of directors for APM, after leaving, he established his own company, OSA of Canada, prior to his retirement. A veteran of the Second World War, he served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for 5 ½ years. He was a member of the Air Force Veterans Club and of Coverdale Lodge #52 F and AM. In addition to his wife Kathleen (Jones), he is survived by his children Dianne (Paul) Lepage of Fredericton, Marilyn Ostler of Saint John, Rev. Kenneth (Joanne) Ostler of Thunder Bay, Robert Ostler of London, ON, David (Kim) Ostler of Moncton and Karen Ostler of Moncton, nine grandchildren, Kara, Lauren, Andrew, Michelle, Lynne, Jonathan, Nathan, Emily and Alex as well as two great grandchildren Sophie and Olivia. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Helen, and his special Aunt, Lela Clarridge of Toronto, Ontario. The family will receive visitors at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home on Wednesday May 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9; funeral service will be on Thursday May 22 at 2 pm at St George's Anglican Church, Moncton followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Coverdale Lodge #52 F and AM will conduct a Masonic Memorial Service at the funeral home on Wednesday May 21 at 6:45 pm. Donations in Mr. Ostler's memory may be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital, Hospice Greater Moncton or the memorial of the donor's choice.
