LILLIAN HELEN SHERWOOD

SHERWOOD, LILLIAN HELEN The passing of Lillian Helen Sherwood, wife of Otto (Ted) Sherwood, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on July 23, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 2, 1933 in Juniper, NB, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Alice (Moffatt) Turnbull. Lillian was a member of Nashwaaksis United Baptist Church. She was educated in Juniper, NB and then moved to Toronto, ON, where she worked at E.I. Youth Center as a counselor. After marriage in 1955, she worked at TD Bank, both located in downtown Toronto. In 1964, she moved with her husband to Fredericton, where she worked for Mr. MacFarland at the Daily Gleaner for over 17 years. Besides her husband, Lillian is survived by her son, Andrew Sherwood (Peggy); grandchildren, Joshua and Hannah; sisters, Irene Goodison (Ron) of Calgary, AB and Jean MacIntosh (Doug) of Toronto, ON; brother, Melvin Turnbull (Dolly) of Perth-Andover, NB; sisters-in-law, Florence and Leona Turnbull both of Juniper, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Winston and George Turnbull. Although there is no public visitation, a Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB with Rev. Kimberly Barlow and Rev. David Appleby officiating. Interment will take place at St. Peter's Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Stanley, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
