
ANTHONY GORDON CARLISLE
CARLISLE, ANTHONY GORDON It is with great sadness that we announce the accidental death of Anthony (Tony) Gordon Carlisle on December 15, 2009 in Nova Scotia. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, 31 January, 1968, he was the beloved son of Gordon (Mac) and Gail (Wilson) Carlisle. He is survived by his wife Jennifer (Cameron) and his four children: Mathieu Guimond, 16, Connor, 8, Megan, 5, and Spencer, 2. He was a loving father and his children were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his only brother, Jeffrey, his wife Stephanie and their children, Zoe and Mac. Tony graduated from Fredericton High School and subsequently, Saint Thomas University in 1993 where he was a valued member of the Saint Thomas Tommies hockey team. After university he attended the Atlantic Police Academy in Prince Edward Island. He also played with the Jr. A Summerside Capitals hockey team. Following graduation from the Police Academy in 1994, Tony joined the Halifax Regional Police force. His love of kids and hockey involved him with minor hockey. For the last two years he was the coach of the Jr. B Brookfield Elks. Tony loved life and family. His many friends and colleagues were important to him. Visitation will be at Snow's Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. in Halifax on Friday, December 18, from 2 to 4:00 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will take at Saint Agnes church, 6903 Mumford Rd., Halifax on Saturday, December 19 at 11:00 am. Internment will take place in Fredericton at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to minor hockey.
