DUNNETT, S. FREEMAN - (1938-2002) S. Freeman Dunnett, 64, of Riverview, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2002 surrounded by his loving family at the Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Whitneyville, NB on January 26, 1938 he is the son of Nelson Dunnett and the late Frances (Hare) Dunnett. After graduation from North & South Esk. Regional High School, he attended the University of New Brunswick on a Lord Beaverbrook scholarship. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1966 while with KPMG in Toronto and was the Managing Partner of KPMG Moncton before his retirement. He was a graduate of the Executive Management Program of the University of Western Ontario Business School. He was a member of the New Brunswick and Ontario Institutes of Chartered Accountants, Past President of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants, a past member of the Board of Governors of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Past President of the United Way of Greater Moncton, a past member of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of New Brunswick, past member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Management Committee of the Moncton Club Ltd., Past President of the Square Forks Fishing Club, member of the Board of Governors, Chair of the Audit Committee, member of the Investment Committee and alumnus of the University of New Brunswick, Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee of the Miramichi Salmon Association Inc., member of the Investment Committee of the Greater Moncton YMCA Foundation, Past Treasurer and Life Member of C.A.M.R. He was Past Master of Acacia Lodge # 49 F & AM Moncton, Past Patron & Past Gr. Rep-Rhonde Island of Fidelity Chapter # 36 O.E.S. Riverview, a member of the Scottish Rite Royal Order of Scotland and a former member of the Luxor Temple & Mini Kar Unit. In his spare time, Freeman was an avid fly fisherman with a Class 1 Guides License and he loved to hunt and snowmobile. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra "Sandy" (Kellogg) Dunnett his "fishing and snowmobiling buddy". Daughter; Carolyn "Carrie" Dunnett of Dieppe, NB, son; Rob Dunnett and his wife Georgie of Three Hills, Ab., newborn grandson Richard Eyrol Dunnett, sister; Kathleen Bryenton and her husband Frank of Miramichi, NB, niece Cindy Stewart (Currie), grand nephews; Tyson & Tyler, nephew; Rick Bryenton (Kari-Lynne), grand nephew; Logan, aunts; Jean Creighton and Margaret DuVall, mother and father-in-law; Doris & Alvin Kellogg Jr. of Feeding Hills, Ma.USA, brother-in-law; Edward Kellogg (Joyce), niece Tracy and nephew David. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 26th from 7-9 PM and Wednesday March 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at First United Baptist Church, 157 Queen St. Moncton, NB on Thursday, March 28, 2002 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Greg Jones officiating. Active pallbearers are Rick Bryenton, David Creighton, Edward Kellogg, Frank Menzies, Robert Savoie, Currie Stewart, Theodore Stewart Jr., Tyler Stewart and Tyson Stewart. Honorary Pallbearers are Ross Bingham, Fred Davies, Ken Evans, Mrs. Theresa Folkins, Mrs. Marilyn Hayre, Cluny MacPherson, Clare Muttart, Mike Schofield and Edward Sherrard. A Masonic Service conducted by Acacia Lodge # 49 F & AM will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, the Fidelity Chapter # 36 will conduct an Eastern Star Service from the funeral home at 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Whitneyville Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Freeman's memory may go to Y.M.C.A., the Friends of Moncton Hospital.
