DAVID WAYNE CARTER

CARTER, DAVID WAYNE - After a long and valiant fight with cancer, David Wayne Carter of Saint John, N.B. and formerly of Moncton, N.B. went to be with his Lord at the age of 30 on Sunday May 26th in Greenville, Virginia. Beloved husband of Tammy Jean (Gray) Carter. Born in Moncton, N.B. on June 25, 1971, the son of Marianne (Lynn) Horsman and the late Rev. Wayne E. Carter. A graduate of Dalhousie University and New Brunswick Bible Institute, David worked as a Respiratory Therapist allowing him to fulfill his desire to help others. He was a member of Rothesay Baptist Church. He served in the choir, and his passion for world missions led him to his involvement on the missions committee. David appreciated the beauty of God's creation. He loved gardening, roses, bird-watching, the ocean, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed skiing, skating and especially cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. His greatest joy was spending time with his sweetheart. In addition to his wife Tammy and his mother Marianne, David is survived by a sister, Elisabeth (Michael) French of Moncton, N.B.; a brother, Stephen of Durham, England; step-father, Rev. Gordon Horsman of Moncton, N.B.; two step-sisters, Deborah (Scott) Mealey of Moncton, and Bethany (Paul) Osborne of Minneapolis; two step-brothers, Jonathan (Renee) Horsman of Minneapolis and David (Janet) Horsman of Moncton. He will also be sadly missed by his father and mother-in-law, Rev. David and Irma Gray and his brother-in-law Andrew of Riverview, N.B. and by his grandparents Rev. Stewart and Janet Lynn of Moncton, N.B. and Grammie Olga MacTavish of Halcomb, N.B. Predeceased by his father, Rev. Wayne Carter in 1992 and an infant brother in 1968. Resting at CASTLE "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Old Hampton Road, Rothesay, N.B. (849-1702) with visiting on Saturday, June 1st, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 2nd from 2:00-4:00 p.m. only. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 3:00 p.m. from Rothesay Baptist Church. A reception will follow the service in the Dr. Vincent Room.
