HANSON, AUBREY F. - The passing of Aubrey Frederick Hanson of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 18, 2002. He was 72. Born in Fredericton, he was a son of the late Lee and Addie (Williams) Hanson. Aubrey was retired and was a well known musician. He was a member of Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, Knights of Pythias and St. Andrews Pipe Band. He was a recipient of many local awards and served on organizing committees for many local events. Survived by his wife Faye (Steeves); two sons, Lloyd and Lorne (Margaret) of Fredericton; a sister Glenna Robinson (Gordon) of Fredericton; two brothers, Douglas (Lynette) and Kenneth (Marion) of Fredericton; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Grace Memorial United Baptist Church on Friday, June 21, 2002 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Doug Hapeman will officiate assisted by Rev. Barry Craig. Pallbearers will be Robert Burtt, Mike Ritchie, Glenn Sheppard, Mike Gulliver, Kevin Brennan and Barry Hughes. Interment in the Sunny Bank Cemetery. Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or World Vision Canada would be appreciated by the family.
