ADAMS, MURRAY L. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Monday, October 7th, 2002; Murray Leroy Adams, husband of Jean (McPhail) Adams of Saint John, N.B. Born in Saint John, N. B. he was the son of the late George and Gladys (Bert) Adams. A veteran of World War 2 Murray served with Black Watch RHR Highland Regimental Unit. Returning home from the war he was employed with the Corps of Commissionaire as a Commissionaire, retiring in 1987. He was also a member of the Black Watch RHR of Canada Association Highland, a member of the Korea Veterans Association Atlantic Provinces, a member of the former Royal Canadian Legion Branch #14, a present member of RCL Jervis Bay Branch #53, and a Centracare Chapel Volunteer. Surviving in addition to his wife Jean are his daughter Helen Doucette of Saint John, three sons, Robert of Western Canada, William and David, both of Saint John, grandchildren Shannon, Amanda, Alana, Amy, Patrick (Adams), Paul Doucette, Bobby John and Chris Adams, four great grandchildren, four sisters, Mary Sistilli of Virginia, U.S.A., Madeline Bordage of Red Head, Gladys Knox and Paulette Adams, both of Saint John, seven brothers George, Nelson, Harry, Leslie, all of Saint John, Douglas of Ontario, Frank and Ronald and several nieces and nephews. Murray was predeceased by a sister Elsie Kenny and a brother Gordon. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West, Saint John, NB, (506-634-1701) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Friday, October 11th, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home will be on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A veterans tribute service will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the NB Lung Association, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
