CHARLES LESLIE KINGSTON

KINGSTON, CHARLES LESLIE - Peacefully, following a lengthy illness at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. on July 6, 2003, Mr. Charles Leslie Kingston, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Stanton) Kingston of Pennfield, N.B.. Born in Fredericton Junction, N.B. on March 22, 1929, he was a son of the late Cyrus and Bessie (Welles) Kingston. A loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law, Charlie is survived besides his wife, by: two sons: Charles Van (Janet) of Fredericton, Thomas Eugene (Georgie) of Clarenville, Newfoundland, three daughters: Betty Anne (Ron) Harwood of Moncton, Elizabeth Regina Kernighan of St. George and Veronica Natalie (Roger) St. Onge of St. George, one special granddaughter, Allene (Wayne) Barrett of Letete, NB, 9 granddaughters, one grandson, two great granddaughters, two great grandsons, three brothers: Kingsley Kingston of Fort Fairfield, Me., John (Edith) Kingston of Tracey and Kenneth (Esther) Kingston of Fredericton Jct., three sisters: Olive Lively of Saint John, Mary Nason of Tracey and Doris Wilman of Bedford, NS, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Lloyd. Charlie was employed by Connors Brothers Limited for 41 years and at his retirement was the Director of Purchasing. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending time at the camp with Roger. As an avid and accomplished curler, he was also a charter member and past President of the Brunswick Curling Club in Blacks Harbour. Resting at the Calvary Baptist Church on Main Street in Blacks Harbour from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the Church on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In Charlie's memory, donations to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
