Formerly of New Perlican. Passed peacefully away at home on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 after a short battle with cancer, Eric Stanley Penney, aged 86 years. Predeceased by his wife Clara Margaret and daughter Rosa Julia. Left with fond and loving memories, his children: Max (Georgina), Whitbourne, Linda Rowe (Heart's Content), June (Paradise), Elizabeth Coish (Bruce), St. John's, Doris (Paradise), Eric (Ruby), Nova Scotia, Lorraine (Paradise), Joyce Martin (Greg), Paradise, David (Nova Scotia); twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; Ralph Penney (Paradise) and a large circle of family and friends. At Eric's request, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. At Marie's request, cremation has taken place.
