CAIN II, DONALD WADE - With shock and grief, we announce the sudden passing of Donald Wade Cain II. Wade passed away at Victoria General Hospital, Victoria, British Columbia, on November 22, 2004. He had a sudden attack of a rare form of meningitis. Wade was born on October 8, 1958 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He is survived by his mother, Pearl Cain; brothers, Dan (Eileen); Luke (Heather), nieces and nephews, Leah and Reece, Lauren and Ryan, and lifelong partner, Michael Dafoe. Wade was predeceased by his father, Donald W. Cain. Wade was a graduate of Fredericton High School, attended U.N.B. and S.T.U. He was a retired employee of Canadian Airlines and Air Canada and was presently working as a saddlefitter and sales representative for Regal Saddles. Wade's passion was horses. He was a past member of the Fredericton Pony Club and competed successfully in Equestrian events across Canada. Wade continued his "Horse Habit" on the West Coast where he owned three horses, a donkey, two dogs and three cats. A Funeral Service was held in Victoria on November 24, 2004. A Memorial Service will be held in Fredericton on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 2 pm at the Church of Saints John and Paul, 727 New Maryland Highway, New Maryland, N.B., officiated by Father Ralph MacRae. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Victoria Hospitals Foundation, #108 Begbie Hall, 2101 Richmond Avenue, Victoria, B.C. V8R 4R7.
