Dorothy Minnie Pipes AMHERST - Dorothy Minnie Pipes, 67, of Amherst passed away on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, with her loving family by her side. Born in Digby, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Anna (Amero) Brown. She enjoyed music and dancing, but her most favorite activity was to spend time with family and friends and she will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Dorothy was a devoted mother to her children, Betty (Junior) Bennett of Berwick; Marion (Georgina) and Angie (Rickey) both of Amherst; Marjorie (Marty) Cleveland of Kentville; and Donald of Springhill; sister Shirley (Ernest) McNamara of Ontario; brother Bradford (Shirley) of Canning; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Donald; sons David Earl and Philip Eugene as well as brothers, Edward, Eugene, William and Lormier, and her sister, Joyce. Resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m., from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Northport.
