Allan Hill
1980-2007 It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we, the family, must announce the death of Allan Richard Hill. Born in Kentville, N.S., he was the son of Charles and Mary (Jessome) Hill. Growing up in North Sydney, Allan attended the Northside Christian Academy and Acadia University, Wolfville, N.S. He eventually became the proud owner of the family business T & M Discount Tools. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Bras d’Or. Allan was a true and loving family man. He had an infectious smile and had a way of bringing laughter to all who knew him. His enthusiastic spirit and love will live on with us forever. We miss and love you dearly. Besides his parents, Allan is survived by his loving wife, Tara (Lynk); three cherished daughters, Taryn, Macy and Ally; two brothers, Charles (Evelyn) Hill and Nicholas (Kim) Hill; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Jessome; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and a niece; in-laws, Freeman and Helen Lynk; sister-in-law, Diane (Chris) White. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Percy Jessome and paternal grandparents, Bob and Theresa Hill. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 4, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, May 5 at 10 a.m. in St. Anne’s Church with Fr. Gerald Campbell officiating.
