LEGERE, RONALD J. - The death of Ronald J. Legere, loving husband of Virginia (Fuentes) Legere of Damascus Road occurred on Sunday August 26, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born 1935 in Saint John he was the son of the late Guillaume William and Mary (Chaisson) Legere. Ronald worked as a Millwright with Local 2262 for 35 years. He was in the Royal Canadian Air Force serving as a Peacekeeper in Egypt and Italy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Besides his loving wife, Virginia he is survived by his children, Stephen Legere (Julie) of Beamsville, ON, Robert Legere of BC, Jason Lynch (Brenda) of Kingston, NB, Kenneth Mantua (Daniela) of Pennfield, NB, Brenda Rae-McQuinn (Darrell) of Sussex, Cathy Legere (Eric) and Carrie Legere both of Saint John; brothers, Raymond Legere (Edie) of Saint John, and Murray Legere (Audrey) of Saint John; sisters, Evelyn (Gillcash) Haeber (Al) of Aldergrove, BC, Theresa Piermarini of Leominster, Mass, Freda Parlee and Doreen Legere both of Saint John; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence and Gerald Legere. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim's Catholic Church on Wednesday August 29, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
