SAUNDERS, DAVID K. - Surrounded by his family, suddenly on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Toronto General Hospital, as the result of cardiac arrest only ten days before. David Saunders of Lakefield in his 50th year. Dave was a former employee of the Toronto Zoo and a longtime dedicated employee of C.U.P.E. From 1986, David served as a National and Educational Representative. Loved and missed by his wife and best friend Linda. Dad is remembered by, Jason Saunders of Amherstburg, Darrin Prieur of Windsor, Devin Saunders of B.C., Dwayne Saunders of Windsor and Robyn Prieur-Saunders of Lakefield. Loving brother, of Lorne (Tracy), Frank (Marilyn), Gary (Sophie), Quinton (Pat), Stephen, Paul, Muriel Peister (Larry) and Pearl Gaunce (Donnie). Also remembered by his parents-in-law, Robert and Oneida Soucie; brother-in-law, Mike Soucie (Amy) and several nieces and nephews. Dave will be sorely missed by his many brothers, sisters, friends and colleagues of C.U.P.E. Predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Zaida. A funeral service will be held from the Lakefield United Church, Regent St., Lakefield on Monday October 29, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Cremation. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.
