SAUNDERS, HARRY S. - The death of Harry S. Saunders of Nauwigewauk, husband of Ruth (Vaughan) Saunders, occurred September 12, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Wells, NB, son of the late Walter and Annie (Young) Saunders. Harry was a member of The Corinthian Lodge No.13, F. & A.M.; Luxor Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S. of New Brunswick where he was a member of the Luxor Motor Corps; and Lord Beaverbrook Chapter #33 Order of Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Susan Kelly (Paul), Saint John; one son, Vernon Saunders (Anita), Nauwigewauk; three grandchildren, Emma and Brady Kelly and Carter Saunders; one brother, Chester Donald Saunders (Dianne), New Maryland, NB; one sister, Lois McMahon, Quispamsis; several nieces and nephews; including special nephew, Keith Vaughan of BC. He was predeceased by an infant grandson, Brendan Kelly and nephew, Ross Vaughan. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 7 to 9pm Saturday and 2 to 8pm Sunday. The funeral will be held Monday, 11:00am at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hammond River, with Rev. Peter Gillies officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Memorials to SJRH Dialysis Unit, Shriners' Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
