GUPTILL, BLANCHE GERTRUDE - Blanche Gertrude Guptill, 91, of Grand Harbour, Grand Manan, passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital on Friday morning peacefully with her family by her beside. Born in Tiverton, N.S, she was the daughter of the late Capen and Vivian (Morse) Ossinger of Tiverton and White Head Island, N.B. Mrs. Guptill was a very loving mother and grand mother to her family and extended family. She was a devoted member of the Grand Harbour Baptist Church and also the United Baptist Ladies Missionary Society. Prior to her sickness she was an active member of the Happy Hour Seniors Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Bion Lee (Jack) in 1987. She is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine Greene (Dennis) and Patricia (Patsy) Lyon (Tony); one son, Gary Guptill (Carole) all of Grand Harbour, seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack; two sisters, Laleah Brown, Helen Morehouse; one brother, Mabury Ossinger and one grand son, Norman Wade. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home, Grand Harbour on Saturday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Grand Harbour Baptist Church on Sunday, January 25th at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ron Ford officiating, interment to follow in the family plot Maple Grove Cemetery, Castalia. Donations can be made to the Charity of your choice.
