GERALD LUTHER WRIGHT

WRIGHT, GERALD LUTHER - The death of Mr. Gerald Luther Wright, loving husband of Constance "Connie" (Love) Wright of Saint John West occurred on August 29, 2009 at Ridgewood Veteran's Wing. Born in Fairville on October 5, 1920, he was the son of the late Luther and Isabella (Sutherland) Wright. Mr. Wright was a veteran of World War II serving with the Princess Patricia Regiment in England, Sicily, Germany and Holland. Gerald was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch# 69. He worked for the Provincial Government at the Annex and later at the Dr. William Roberts Hospital School. He enjoyed being with his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife Connie, are his daughter, Sandra (Robert) Wetmore, of Riverview, NB; brother Reginald (Shirley) Wright, of Summerville, NB; special daughter-in-law, Barbara Wright, of Saint John, NB; two sisters-in-law Regina Wright of Saint John, and Audrey Love; two brothers- in law Tom (Dot) Love and Horace Meating; five grandchildren, Mark (Lesley) Wetmore, Brent (Nancy) Wetmore, Gerry (Tanya) Wright, Ronnie (Kim) Wright and Lori Rowe, and nine great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Jeeselyn, Evelyn, Kaylyn, Hayden, Declan, Michaela, Howie, and Maggie, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Ronald Howard Wright; sister, Lillian Magee and brothers Freeland, Mansfield, and Donald Wright. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West (634-1701) with visitation to be held on Monday and Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Following the burial, a reception will take place at Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
