At Prince County Hospital, with her family at her side, on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, of Mildred Ann Gallant of Summerside, formerly of Carleton Lot 6 aged 92, wife of the late Basil Gallant. Born in Foxley River on June 1, 1916, daughter of the late William and Josie (Gillis) Kelly. Cherished mother of Leonard, Summerside, Reggie, Travellers Rest, Leona (Eldon) McInnis, Hamilton, Ont., Claudia Murphy, Cambridge, Ont., Barbara (Pete) Melanson, Hamilton, Ont., Aldona (Dennis) Enman, Carleton, Lot 6; Emmett (Debbie), Summerside, Anita O’Reagon, Hamilton, Ont., Nancy (Brian) Boylan, Northam; Donna (Bob) Wagner, Summerside, Sheila (Roger) Milligan, Summerside. Loving grandmother of 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Sister of Leo Kelly, O’Leary, Florence Fitzsimmons, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Sister-in-law of Chester Milligan, Summerside, and Mildred Kelly, Howlan. Predeceased by her husband, a son, Everett, grandson, Rodney Boylan, sisters, Rita Bauer, Joan Milligan, brothers Harold Kelly and Reggie Kelly. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 10 a.m. then to St. Anthony’s Church, Woodstock, for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Spring in the Parish Cemetery.
