FAITH HILDRED LaPOINTE

LaPOINTE, FAITH HILDRED - Faith Hildred (Mitchell) LaPointe of Fredericton, wife of William (Bill) LaPointe, went to be with her Saviour on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family. Born on May 28, 1928 in Devon, she was the daughter of the late William and Hildred (Savage) Mitchell. Faith was loved and adored by her husband of 62 years, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She touched everyone who knew her with her sweet and loving spirit and truly exemplified Christ in every area of her life. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. Revelation 21:4 In addition to her husband, Faith is survived by her children, Judy Seely (Jim); Joel LaPointe (Elaine), both of Douglas; Janice McLaughlin (Jeep); Jeff LaPointe (Kim); and Andy LaPointe (Brookee) all of Fredericton; grandchildren, Jeana Daye (Ryan); Mitchell, Jordan (Tara) and Jesse LaPointe; Jana Jones (Mike) and Jacob McLaughlin; Benjamin, Matthew and Sarah LaPointe; Olivia and Graysen LaPointe; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Alexa Faith Daye; Reid William LaPointe; brothers and sisters, Helen Riley (Pat) of Douglas; Mae Johnson (Donald), Shirley Saunders (George), Warren Mitchell and Merville Mitchell (Gail) all of Fredericton; several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Faith was predeceased by siblings, Gertrude Davidson, Geraldine Crawford, Millard, Murray, Irvine, William and Dale Mitchell. A private family visitation will take place on Friday, October 30, 2009 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive at 7 pm. A funeral service will take place at First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane, on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11 am with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating. Reception will follow in the church auditorium. All are welcome to attend the interment at Olivet Cemetery, Marysville at 2 pm. Pallbearers for the service will be Mitchell, Jordan and Jesse LaPointe, Jacob McLaughlin, Mike Jones and Ryan Daye. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Caton's Island Camp, Brown's Flat; Canadian Cancer Society; or the charity of the donor's choice.
