MRS. IRENE BROWN
November 1, 1914 - February 17, 2009
Mrs. Irene Brown passed away peacefully at the Herb Bassett Home on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the age of 94 years. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, from River Park Memorial Chapel. Reverend Rick Martin will officiate. She was born in Kent, England, immigrated to Canada in 1925 and was married to Bill in 1936. Irene is survived by her loving family: her children Wilfred Brown, Ken (Sharon) Brown, Marilyn (Roger) Linfitt, Charlie (Donna) Brown, Sharon (Keith) Bacon; her 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bill Brown in 1988; her daughter Sheila in infancy in 1938; her son Melvin in 1972; her daughter-in-law Joyce in 1973; her grandson Gerry in infancy in 1976; her grandson Billy in 2001; her parents William & Emily Harris; her brothers William, Frederick, Douglas & Perry; her sisters Winifred & Kathleen; her stepbrother Frank Everest. It is the family's request that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan - 2360 - 2nd Avenue, Regina, SK, S4R 1A6. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Garden of Devotion, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
