Mrs. Opal M.E. Voth 1926 - 2002 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Opal M. E. Voth, wife of Bartley Slater, and widow of John Voth, of the North Napan Road, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday, November 24, 2002, at the age of 75. Born in Queensport, Guysboro County, NS, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anne (George) Ehler. She was a homemaker, a retired employee of both the Miramichi Rehabilitation Center and the Howard Henderson House, in Miramichi. She attended St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi. She is survived by her husband, Bartley Slater; three daughters, Brenda Hatfield (Benjamin), of Belleville, ON, Colleen Voth (Joe Savoy), of Weldfield Road, and Catherine Pearson (Darren), of Saskatoon, Sask.; two sons, Allen Voth (Joan), of Fredericton and Walter Voth (Carol), of Calgary, Alta.; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Voroshuk, of St. Catherines, Ont. and Mrs. Melba Murphy, of Dartmouth, NS; one brothers, Frank Ehler (Marguerite), of Queensport, NS; eleven grandchildren, Marlene, Andrea, Andrew, Angel, Amanda, Jessie, Kathleen, Drew, John, Megan and Matthew; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Voth; two grandchildren, Dawnmarie and Joseph; two great grandchildren, Tylor and Seth; two sisters, Lillian McAuley and Phyllis Brozeau; one brother, Albert Ehler. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Monday evening, from 7-9 pm and Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Alan Reynolds. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Riverside Cemetery Fund, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
