Emery Johnson 1952 - 2003 DALHOUSIE, NB - Emery Johnson, 51, of Bujold Street, Dalhousie, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Marie (née: Gaudet) and the late Alonzo Johnson. The New Brunswick sports and physical education community was saddened with the passing of their colleague and friend. A teacher at Dalhousie Regional High School, Emery was also a beloved mentor and coach who touched many young lives. He excelled especially at hockey and a few of the teams he played with were the Moncton Beavers and the U de M Aigles Bleu. His love for sports continued through his coaching of minor hockey and school athletics as well as his involvement with the NBIAA. In addition to his wife, Mary Lou (née: Emery) of Dalhousie, Emery is survived by his mother, Marie of St. Anselme; two daughters, Claire of Moncton and Suzanne of Dalhousie; two sons, Marc of Moncton and Kevin of Dalhousie; three sisters, Louise Johnson of Dieppe, Diane (Yves) Belanger and Nora Johnson, both of Moncton; two brothers, Roland (Brigitte Godin) of Brossard, QC and Ben (Kym Elder) of Nelson, BC; mother-in-law, Helen Emery of Moncton; brother-in-law, John Emery of Moncton; sister-in-law, Pauline (John Doucet) of St. John's, NF; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Claire. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Monday, November 24, 2003 from 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday from noon until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 2 pm. Interment in St. Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Dr. Georges L.Dumont Hospital or the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundations "Oncology" would be appreciated.
