Joseph English MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Joseph English of St. Patrick's Dr., Miramichi passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, January 22, 2004. Born in Nelson, NB, he was a son of the late Martin English and Loretta McEachreon. He was an Accounts Clerk at the Department of Natural Resources for 38 years and was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, Nelson, Miramichi. Joseph was a veteran of WW II, served as a Signaller Inf for the 36th Coast Battery RCA, Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10, Member of the Bishop Hill Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Member of the Nelson Senior Citizens Friendly Neighbours Club. Member of the Senior Choir at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. He was also an avid Curler and Golfer. He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Vincent); stepchildren, Tracey Vincent (Elio) of Calgary, Derek Vincent of Lethbridge, Alberta; sisters, Anna McCarthy of Nelson, Mary Duffy of Miramichi, Catherine Usher (Bill) of St. John, NB.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Lynch; sister, Lena; brothers, Mac and Adrien. He is resting at Maher's Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, January 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Malcolm Cemetery, Nelson, Miramichi, NB Arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi 773-4321.
