Emile Melanson COCAGNE, NB - Emile Melanson, 96, widow of the late Jeanne (Allain) Melanson (1990) of Foyer Myosotis, Cocagne, NB passed away at the Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Saturday, May 8, 2004 after a brief illness. Born in Cocagne, NB on July 28, 1907, he was the son of the late Philippe Melanson and the late Julie Bourgeois. He was a fisherman and he attended Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB. He is survived by six daughters, Jeannita LeBlanc of Shédiac, Julia LeBlanc (Léonard), Anise Melanson, both of Cocagne, Lorraine LeBlanc (LéoPaul) of Saint-Antoine, Rosella Surette (Bernard) of Grande-Digue, Thérèse Dupuis (Freddie) of Notre-Dame; six sons, Roger (Jeanne), Louis (Bernice), Léo-Paul (Bernice), Maurice (Diane) all of Cocagne, Philippe (Léola) of Moncton, Jean-Claude (Huberte) of SaintAntoine; one sister, Anna Dallaire of Cocagne; two brothers, Hector (Marie) of Cocagne, Améddée of Shédiac; 36 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one daughter, Marie; one son, André; two sisters, Sr Stella, Marie Jeanne, and four brothers, Zoel, Valerie, Edmond, Thaddée. Resting at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne with visitation on Sunday, May 9 from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 1 to 3:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 4:00 pm. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
