Bessie M. Murray SUSSEX, NB - The death of Bessie Marie Murray of Sussex, NB, occurred peacefully at her home, surrounded by all her family on November 12, 2004. She was the wife of the late Stetson Murray, who passed away November 24, 1996. Born at Penobsquis, NB, on April 13, 1907, a daughter of the late Warren and Lottie (Lockhart) Hall and the last surviving member of her family of nine. Bessie was a member of the Penobsquis United Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Harley Murray and his wife Ruth, and William Murray, both of Sussex; six grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren; Sharon (David) Doucet, children (TaraLee, Joel); Cindy (Edgar) Creighton (Angela, Karla, Karen); Joyce (Stephen) Hayes (Laura, Brent); Douglas (Debbie) Murray (William, Cassandra, Jessica); Sandra (Guy) Métivier (Tonia, Collette, Gabriel); and David (Lenora) Murray (Hannah, Sarah); and several nieces and nephews. Bessie was predeceased by her sisters, Gertrude Walker, Ella Branscombe and Ethel Hall; and brothers, Walter, Gordon, William, John and Clarence "Ted". The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506433-2133) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2004 at the Penobsquis United Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Cardwell Cemetery.
