Patrick Downing 1913 - 2004 GRANDE-DIGUE, NB - Patrick Downing, of Grande-Digue, NB, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Grande-Digue, NB, October 26, 1913, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Cormier) Downing. A retired fisherman and past employee with C.U. Belliveau, he was a member of La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande-Digue. He is survived by seven daughters, Jeannine Leger of Toronto, Léa Cormier (Ulysse LeBlanc), Claira Leger (JeanPaul Arsenault) both of Grande-Digue, Alberta Leger (Telex) of Cocagne, Maria Cormier (Fernand) of St-André-LeBlanc, Stella Cloutier (Gilbert) of Moncton, Yvette Downing (Derek Montgomery) of Mahone Bay, NS; three sons, Gérald (Claudette) and Edouard (Thérèse) and Alonzo (Phyllis) all of Grande-Dique; two sisters, Marie Bourgeois and Azelle Gallant both of Grande-Digue; a brother, Johnny Donelle (Alouisa) of GrandeDigue; 31 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Florida (Brun) Downing; five sisters, Rosalie, Anna, Alice, Alma, Eva; and four brothers, Antoine, Willie, Fred, and Albénie. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (5323297) on Tuesday 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m., and on Wednesday 9a.m. until departure (9:40).The Funeral Mass will be held at 10a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande-Digue.
