Constance Mary ‘Connie’ MacDonald of 57 MacLeod Street, Baddeck, N.S., died suddenly February 28, 2009, at home at the age of 75.
She was born February 11, 1934 in Glace Bay, daughter of the late George and Mary (MacDougall) Briggs.
Connie will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 52 years, Donald ‘Don’ J. MacDonald and two daughters, Geraldine and Donna (MacDonald) husband, Dave Clark; grandchildren, Louie and Josie Zita (son and daughter of Geraldine of Mississauga), Amanda and Ulanta Clark (daughters of Donna and Dave of Brampton); brothers and sisters, Danny Briggs (Judy), Marilyn Popwell (Jack), Joan Aucoin (Eddie), all of Glace Bay, George Briggs (Margaret), Mississauga, Sheldon Briggs (Diane), Glace Bay, Wayne Penny of Glace Bay; many special nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by brother, Gerald and his wife, Annie Briggs, Ken and his wife, Sandra Briggs.
Service will be held at Greenwood United Church, Baddeck on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Karen Lynch officiating.
