Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Parks, widow of Cecil Parks, Monday
Thelma Elizabeth Parks The death of Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Parks, widow of Cecil Parks, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, NB and formerly of Millerton, NB, occurred at her residence with her family at her side, on Monday, February 21, 2005 at the age of 92. Born in Ludlow, NB and later moved to Lower Derby, NB, she was the daughter of the late Rainsford and Alexis (Colford) O'Donnell. Thelma was a homemaker and owner/operator of Parks Grocery in Millerton, member of St. Peter's Anglican Church, Millerton, active in the choir and A.C.W., and also a member of St. Philip's Anglican Church in Moncton. Thelma is survived by one daughter, Willa Hanington (Allan) of Shediac Road, NB; two sons, John (Beulah) of Moncton, NB and Allan (Janice) of PEI; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Thelma is predeceased by one daughter, Audrey Davidson (Jess) and three brothers Clancy, Ben and John. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Millerton on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 2 PM with Father Doug Barrett officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund or a memorial of one's choice.
