Phyllis R. Roberts 1922 - 2005 HARCOURT, NB - Phyllis Rachel Roberts of Harcourt, widow of John Roberts, passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital, Friday, April 8, 2005 surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthly illness. Born in Flume Ridge, Charlotte Co., Phyllis was the daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Mamie) Christie. Married in Maine, USA., Phyllis and her husband John moved to Harcourt, where they raised eight children. She was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She enjoyed making crafts, quilting, and listening to the old songs and hymns that she loved so well. She was a member of the Bethesda Pentecostal Church, Harcourt. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her five daughters, Edith Wilson-Boudreau (Jean-Paul), Jean Francis (Micheal), Norma Roberts, all of Moncton, Mildred Steeves, and Katherine Roberts of Grangeville; two sons, Harvey (Iva) and Kenny (Mercy) Roberts of Harcourt; twenty nine grandchildren; forty one great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Noble (Sylvanus), St.Stephen; brothers, Arthur Christie (Alice) of Harvey, and Norton Christie (Irene) of Saint John; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, John (1990), Phyllis was predeceased by daughter, Hazel Swinamer (1984); grandson, Fred; great grandson, Christopher; sister, Irene Hurney; brothers, Earl, Roy and Ron Christie. Resting at Thompsons Funeral Home, Richibucto, with visiting hours on Saturday, April 9, 7:00-9:00pm and Sunday, April 10, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Bethesda Pentecostal Church, Rte 116 Harcourt, NB. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Donations in Phyllis' memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to a memorial of the donor's choice.
