William S. Fraser 1923 - 2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. William Stuart Fraser, of the Auburnville Road, Bay du Vin, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday morning, July 14, 2006, at the age of 82. Born in Bay du Vin, he was the son of the late Peter and Flora (McClenaghan) Fraser. He was a retired employee of the Dept. of National Defense, at the former CFB St. Margarets Radar Station, as well as a former employee of E.D. Sticklen Co. Ltd. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin; a Veteran of the 2nd World War, serving with the Canadian Army in France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, England and Africa. He is survived by six daughters, Joan Fraser of Miramichi, June Fraser of Bay du Vin, Debbie Gilliss (Ralph), of Bay du Vin, Flora Martin (Fernand) of Bay du Vin, Peggy Fraser (Ralph) of Little Branch Road, Lillian Kingston (Windsor) of Bay du Vin; three sons, Harold Fraser (Lea) of Kingston, ON, Jerry Fraser (Annette) of Halifax, NS, Harry Fraser of Vancouver, BC; one step-son, Ron Putnam (June) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; one brother, Donald Fraser (Carmel) of Miramichi; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Constance Isabel Gulliver; one son, Donald Fraser; four sisters, Dorothy Williston, Florence Gulliver, Lillian Jardine, Bertha Williston; six brothers, Austin, Walter, George, Harry, Peter, Robert, and infant brother, John Fraser. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Monday only from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Don Hamilton. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Please note, members of Branch # 3 Royal Canadian Legion are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7:30 pm for a Veterans Service.
