Dr. Suresh R . Pershad 1942-2007 HALIFAX, N.S. - Dr. Suresh Ram Pershad, husband of Rambha Pershad, of Breau Avenue, Miramichi, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2007, at the QE II Halifax Infirmary at the age of 64, surrounded by family and loved ones. Born and raised in India, Dr. Pershad completed his medical degree at Gandhi Medical College. In 1968, he left the country to do four years of training in London, England. He was subsequently trained for FRCP (Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicans), in London, Ontario. He started his practice at the former Hotel Dieu Hospital, in Chatham, in January of 1980 and has continued to serve the community through working at the Region 7 Hospital up until the onset of his illness, in August of 2006. At the time of his illness, he held the position of chief of internal medicine at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Rambha and his three children; a daughter, Rashmi, of Miramichi and sons, Sailesh, of of Philadelphia, Penn., USA and Sarvesh, of Miramichi. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Saturday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Sunday, January 7, 2007, at 1 pm.
