Eleanor Blanche Tweedie
Eleanor Blanche Tweedie 1912-2007 KOUCHIBOUGUAC, N.B. - Eleanor Blanche Tweedie, a resident of the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, and formerly of Kouchibouguac, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, in St. Anne de Kent, on Monday, February 5, 2007, at the age of 94. Born in Kouchibouguac, on September 27, 1912, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Helen B. (Potter) Tweedie. She was an active and valuable member of St. James United Church, Kouchibouguac and member of the former St. Andrew Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Inez Jenkins, of Napan; one brother, Wallace Tweedie, of Villa Maris Nursing Home, St. Louis de Kent; one sister-in-law, Ethel Tweedie, of Rexton Lions Nursing Home; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six sisters, Lillian Sands, Josa Tighe, Christina Callander, Hazel Tweedie, Neta Tweedie and Louise Kay; one brother, John Tweedie. By Eleanor's request, the visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. James United Church, Kouchibouguac, on Friday, February 9, 2007, at 3 pm, conducted by Rev. Beth Johnson, assisted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in St. James United Church Cemetery, Kouchibouguac, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. James United Church, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
