
Roy Duguay
Roy Duguay AMHERST, NS - The sudden death of Roy Duguay, age 72, of East Amherst, occurred at the Queen Elizabeth II Infirmary on Monday, October 1, 2007. Born in Little Shemogue, NB, he was a son of the late Aurelle and Adeline Duguay. Roy was known best for his many years as owner and operator of Roy Duguay Sales and Service. From 1960 to 1970 he was a Special Constable with the Amherst Town Police. He was an avid hockey fan, attending all Rambler games, home and away. His greatest hobby was playing cards. He cherished any time with his family, always looking forward to holidays and family dinners. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be sadly missed by his wife Verna; his sons, Kevin (Linda Burbine) Amherst, David (Michell Terris) Sackville, NB; his daughter, Kimberly (Webster) Doherty, Waverly, NS; a step-son Hal (Sheila) Hardy, Pennfield, NB; two step-daughters, Shelley (Scott) MacKinnon, Lower Coverdale, NB, Julie-Ann (Garnet) Trenholm, Fort Lawrence, NS; special grandchildren, James, Jennifer, Joshua, Shane, Megan, Scottie, Jason, Brent, Ryan, and Shelby; brothers, Roger, Berwick, NS, Lloyd (Chris), Stoney Plains, AB; sisters, Gladys Duguay, Amherst, Diane Hebert, Port Elgin, NB, Eleanor (Paul) Legere, Moncton, NB. He was predeceased by brother, Bernard; sisters, Alberta and Irene. Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (902-667-8777). Visitation will take place at the Furlong~Jones Chapel, 68 Church St., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Furlong~Jones Chapel on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Amherst Cemetery.
