Marion (Mandy) Fotheringham

Marion (Mandy) Fotheringham 1916-2007 Marion Amanda (Mandy) Fotheringham, aged 91, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, November 3rd, following a brief illness. Born in Petitcodiac, she was the daughter of Bedford Alward and Henrietta MacWilliams. A talented musician with many creative interests, Marion's vivacity and sense of humour delighted all who knew her. As a young girl her music brought her much joy, as well as employment - playing for silent movies, with Don Messer, and Hank Snow recorded one of her compositions in the early stage of his career. After her marriage, she worked for a number of years in the food industry. She also volunteered as a Girl Guide leader and director of senior citizens glee clubs in Sackville and Riverview. Marion is survived by one daughter, Mary MacDonald (Robert) of Comox, BC; four grandchildren, Shane MacDonald of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Aundrea MacDonald-Feltham of Vancouver, Jennifer Fotheringham of Ottawa and Mary Fotheringham of Halifax; and four great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Taylor, Amanda and Robert. She is predeceased by her husband Philip (Scotty); her son, George; and seven siblings, Rena, Eva, Hinson, Alice, Lillian, Elsie and Waldo. Visitation will be at the common room, 21 Crystal Drive, Riverview on Saturday, November 10th, 2 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
