
Leonard T. MacKnight
Leonard T. MacKnight 1943 - 2007 NAPAN, N.B. - Leonard Thomas MacKnight, husband of Sandra MacKnight, of the South Napan Road, Napan, passed away suddenly at his residence, on Saturday morning, December 1, 2007. Born in Chatham, on April 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Cecil and Irma (Turbide) MacKnight. He was a heavy equipment operator by profession and an instructor of the heavy equipment operating course at the Northumberland Driving Institute, in Miramichi; a former employee of Byron MacDonald Painting Ltd. He was Roman Catholic by Faith and attended St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi. He was an avid draft horse owner as well as a former exhibitor at the Napan Agricultural Show, in Napan, for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra MacDonald; two daughters, Brenda Gillis (John), and Debra Sargent, all of Napan; two sons, Tony MacKnight (Sherri Lynn), of Miramichi and Darrell MacKnight (Gabrielle), of Napan; ten grandchildren, Jody, Trevor, Tyler, Megan, Jenna, Riley, Krista, Nathan, Tari Lynn, Jordan; two sisters, Anna MacDonald (Elmer), of Miramichi and Phyllis Johnson (Ted), of Wiarton, Ont.; two brothers, Raymond MacKnight (Beryl), of Napan and Joseph MacKnight (Joyce), of Burnt Church. He was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Crawford and Winnifred Halman. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Monday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi, on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 11 am, conducted by Father Claude Daigle. Interment will be in St. Andrews Cemetery, Miramichi. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
