David Mason AMHERST, NS - The death of David Mason, age 40, of Amherst, occurred suddenly at his home on Friday, May 2, 2008. Born in Amherst, he was a son of George and Gwendolyn (Bishop) Mason. A graduate of Amherst Regional High School and Mt. Allison. he was formerly employed with the Nappan Research Station and as an entrepreneur, operated, "Amerispec" and "Furniture Medic" locally, prior to his current business "Mason Performance Development". A "Best Selling" author, he wrote "Marketing Your Small Business for Big Profits" and was a contributing author for "Wake Up...Live The Life You Love." David enjoyed his cottage in Tidnish, travelling, fishing, oil painting and photography. He was a member of Immanuel United Church and a member of Acacia Masonic Lodge F & AM. David was loved and will be sadly missed for his positive attitude and sense of humor. A family man he will be missed by his childhood sweetheart, Sandra (Cameron); children, Kirsten and Liam; parents, George and Gwendolyn Mason; sisters, Vicky (Tom) Garland, Nancy (Kirby) Papic; brothers, Wayne (Lauranne); aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a large extended family. David's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (902-667-8777). A memorial service will be held at the Furlong Jones Funeral Chapel, 68 Church Street, Amherst on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11 am. Rev. Margie Patterson officiating.
