Mark Stuart Gerrish 1961 - 2008 It is with great sadness and comfort that we announce the passing of Mark Gerrish on Monday, May 16 at the age of 46. He peacefully left us with his family by his side after a 3 year journey with ALS. Mark is survived by his wife and best friend, Holly; daughters Lindsay, Laura, Carly; and son Duncan; his parents Betty and Glen Gerrish of Upper Derby, NB; sisters Alison (Dana) and Gillian. Mark was born in Campbellton, NB and spent most of his childhood on the Miramichi. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Civil Engineering leading him to a 24 year career with Pillar Resource Services where he worked until he no longer could. Mark will be lovingly remembered for his sky blue eyes, his infectious smile, his spontaneous witty sense of humour, his humility, his selfless nature, his never ending zest for life, his enduring love for his family and his loyalty as a husband, father, and friend. A Funeral Service will be held at Woodcliff United Church, 5010 Spruce Drive SW, on Thursday, May 22 at 3:00 pm with a reception at the church to follow. A time of visitation (with an open casket) for family and friends will be held at McInnis and Holloway - Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 Elbow Drive SW on Wednesday May 21 from 6 - 8 pm.
