James K. McCafferty 1915 - 2008 James Kenneth McCafferty (Jim) of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, November 11th, 2008. Born in Saint John NB, March 7th, 1915, he was the son of the late Charles and Annie (Sinstadt) McCafferty. Jim was a founding member of The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation and served on the board of FMH Management. He was an active member of the Beaver Curling Club, The Moncton Golf and Country Club the Gyro Club and the Moncton Rotary Club. Jim was employed for several years with Summer Company Limited and then moved on to serve as the Comptroller of the The Moncton Hospital from where he retired. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Evelyn McCafferty (Barchard) of Moncton, daughters Sandra Pooley (Douglas) of Hartland, Gailene Holtby (Paul) of Seeley's Bay, ON, Judith Curtis (Robert) of Fredericton and son David McCafferty (Maureen) of Fredericton. In addition, he is survived by 10 grandchildren Charles, Wendy, Kimberley, Christopher (Jen), Shawn (Nicole), Kristen, Erin, Dustin, Drew, Krystal; and 5 great grandchildren, William, Lucas, Darian, Cade and Cassidy; a nephew Donald Kelly; and a niece Joanne Miller. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sister Barbara Kelly and brother Norman McCafferty. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, November 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. With respect to Jim's wishes, a private family service will be held with interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
