RUSSELL, STEPHEN CHARLES - The death of Mr. Stephen Charles Russell of Miramichi, NB, occurred at his late residence at the age of 55. Born in Chatham, NB, he is the son of Helen (Jardine) Russell and the late Stafford Russell. Stephen was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, carpenter with the D.O. T., past treasurer of the PC Party, member of the Miramichi Curling Club, Knights of Columbus Council # 486 and the Newcastle Lions Club. Besides his mother: Helen, Stephen is survived by: one brother: Terry (Alyson) of Strathadam, NB; one sister in law: Karen Russell of Douglastown, NB; aunt Marie Foley of Miramichi, NB; goddaughter and cousin: Maureen Foley of Moncton, NB; two nieces, Kirstyn & Kayla Russell. Besides his father Stafford, Stephen is predeceased by one brother, Brian. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 1PM with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. In Stephen's memory, donations may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a memorial of one's choice.
