McFee, Stewart Frederick
1950 - 2010
The death of Stewart McFee, 60, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 28, 2010. Born in Sackville, Stewart was a son of the late Carl and Hester (Estabrooks) McFee.
Stewart was a devoted NASCAR fan and a member of the Cumberland Car Club.
He spent 27 years of his life as a police officer, rising to the position of Chief of Police for the Town of Sackville.
Stewart was a member of Saint Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church.
Stewart will be sadly missed by his partner, Angela (Estabrooks) Parsons; four children, Tammy (Dean) Wood of Fredericton, Gordon (Deana) Stead of Fredericton, Kate McFee of Moncton, Jessie McFee of Halifax; four sisters, Euella Knox of Cape Breton, Barb (Ken) Hashey of Edmonton, Mary Lou (Jerry) Brownell and Jenny Hicks. both of Sackville; and two grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Stewart was predeceased by two brothers.
Stewart’s remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300), from where visitation will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. Father Allison Carroll officiating.
