It is with great family sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen Caulfield on March 6, 2010 in Montreal. Born on May 5, 1950 Carmen was raised in his beloved Westfield Beach, N.B., but has resided in Montreal for 29 years. He was employed as an Architectural Planner with the Royal Victoria Hospital, and more recently with the McGill University Health Center. Carmen loved his work, and was well respected and greatly appreciated by many disciplines within the Royal Victoria and Montreal General hospitals. As well as the fulfillment of his work, Carmen was an avid gardener, and loved international travel. Carmen is survived by both parents Glendon and Elouise Caulfield, as well his sister Anne, brother-in-law Roy LeBlanc, and his two special nieces Cheryth and Tara LeBlanc. Special thanks to Carmen’s MUHC planning Department family, as well as the caring staff and physicians at the Montreal General 15th Floor and Palliative Care units.
A memorial service will be held at Grand Bay Baptist Church, 77 Woolastook Dr. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the church. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Westfield, NB as well as a memorial service in Montreal to follow at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapelâ€, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701). Carmen had requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the World Vision Children’s Fund.
