It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Jean Louis Legare (RED) on Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at the age of 44 years. Jean was predeceased by his Dad Jehri in 1986, his Nana Leadbetter in 1987, Poppa Leadbetter in 1998, Poppa Legare in 2000 and his beloved brother and best friend Brent on March 12th, 2002. Jean is survived by his son Zachary (Michelle); his mother Sandy (Joe) Marcil; Brent’s family Archie, Alex, Arlen and Kaitlyn; sisters Anna Marie (Kevin) Smith and family Zebulon, Xyrus, Taylor (Chelsea) and Takeo, Zoe (Dustin) Klementz, Callie, Peyton and Emma, Michelle (Ken) Buckingham and family Caleb (Kayla) Kaijah and Cedar; many cousins, aunts and uncles on the Legare side; and numerous friends and acquaintances. Jean was born in Regina on September 10th, 1965. He was a butcher by trade and worked in both the grocery industry and at the pork plant. Jean was a die-hard Raiders fan. He was a member of the UFCW – a representative as well as a Union negotiator. His greatest passion was cooking and he always had a recipe on hand. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Friday, March 12th, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and a private family burial will take place. For those so wishing, donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. East, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 1H3.
