It is with deep regret and great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Lillian Griffiths on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Lillian (Spurvey) Griffiths.
Lillian enjoyed playing bingo and watching TV, she thrived on spending time with the apple of her eye, her special granddaughter, Karlee.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Wendy Griffiths (Daniel), Sydney; her precious granddaughter, Karlee; her best friend and companion, George MacCuish, St. Peters; her sisters, Theresa Griffiths, Glace Bay, Betty Ann Griffiths-Campbell, Newfoundland; brothers, Joe (Maxine), Sydney, Patrick, Sydney, David, Texas, Jimmy, Westmount, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her special friends, Paula Hickey and Glennie Sheppard.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Mickey and Harold.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Errol MacDonald officiating.
